Approve Time Cards & Absences
Important Notes:
There are multiple ways a supervisor can view and approve time cards and absences.
Supervisors receive a system generated email when a direct report submits a time card or absence request; supervisors can view details and approve the time card or absence via email. If approving time cards and absences via email, you must select an action button (approve, reject or request info) within the email notification you receive and then send the email by selecting the send button in the email that’s drafted.
Team Time Cards (Time Management): navigate to Time Management to research the status of time cards (eg pending vs submitted). You can also use this option to approve and, if needed, create time cards on behalf of other employees. If you supervise salaried employees that submit time off using “Absences” you will need to use the Worklist to view pending approvals; submitted time off requests will only display in Time Management if submitted using “Time Cards”.
Bronco Hub Worklist: navigate to the Worklist to view and approve on submitted time cards and absences.

Hourly staff time cards are due on Mondays. Visit the payroll calendar for due dates.
Do you have an employee with a job ending mid pay period?
Supervisors only have access to approve time cards or absences for employees with active assignments.
If an employee is separated mid-payroll, please enter an HR ServiceNow ticket for support with entering, editing or approving time and absences.
When submitting a ticket to HR, include details about the hours, dates and time reporting codes that should be entered and approved on behalf of the separated employee so HR can process the request with accurate information.
View Time Cards via Time Management
Step 1: Log in to Bronco Hub and Access Time Management
Begin by signing in to Bronco Hub.
Select My Organization from the navigation ribbon.
Select Time Management.
Step 2: Access Team Time Cards and Search for Reported Time
Select Team Time Cards from the left hand navigation
Search for time cards using any of the available search criteria. Fields denoted with * are required and at least one field denoted with ** is required.
Update the date fields to limit the results to a specific time frame or pay period.
Search for time cards by status to ensure all time is submitted and approved by the deadline.
If searching for a specific employee, enter their name in the Person Name field or their employee ID in the Person Number field. If you want to search for multiple employees at once, leave both of these fields blank and just search by date and status.
After entering search parameters, select Search.
All time cards matching the related search fields will populate below.
Select the hyperlink dates of any time card to view submission details.
Select a time card row and then select Approve to route the submission to Payroll
If you can’t locate a time card for an employee’s time card in Team Time Cards, reach out to them and ask them to create and submit their time card. If needed, you can also submit a time card on their behalf by following the steps outlined in Submit a Time Card for a Direct Report.
What’s Next?
Once approved, the employee will receive a system generated email notifying them of the approval and the time card will route to Payroll for processing.

View Time Cards & Absences via Worklist
Step 1: Log in to Bronco Hub and Access Worklist
Begin by signing in to Bronco Hub.
Select Me from the navigation ribbon.
Select Worklist.
Step 2: Select and Review the Action Pending Approval
To view details and confirm accuracy of the submission, select the hyperlink of the time card or absence needing approval.
In the Approval Window, locate the Reported Time section and scroll to the right to see details about time entry for each day of the pay period.
Review the Fund, Department, Cost Center, Supplemental and Project costing information to confirm accuracy.
Navigate to the Days section to view quantity of hours and days worked
Step 3: Approve, Reject or Request More Information
After reviewing the time entry, take the applicable action. Actions include Approve, Reject or Request Information (from the actions drop down).
Approve: This will approve the time card and it will be routed to Payroll for processing.
Reject: This will reject the time card. Please note, comments are required when rejecting a time card.
Request Information: This will pause the time card. The time card submitter will receive an email with the information requested and can provide additional information or edit their time card as needed.
What’s Next?
Once the time card is edited or additional information is submitted, the approver will receive a follow-up notification prompting them to review the information and take action on the time card.
The employee will receive a system generated email with information about the action taken. If you request more information, the employee will need to edit and resubmit the request for you to review and approve before the entries route to payroll for processing.
