View Your Leave (Sick, Vacation, etc.) Accrual Balance
Important Notes:
Benefit eligible employees accrue leave as outlined in the sick and annual leave accrual chart.
Vacation and Sick time accrual amounts will fluctuate during payroll processing.
Step 1: Log in to Bronco Hub and Access Time and Absences
Begin by signing in to Bronco Hub.
Select Me from the top navigation section of Bronco Hub and then select Time and Absences.
Select Absence Balance.
Step 2: View Absence Balance
Plan Balances will display.
Select the button to view accrual balance As of Today or Last Calculation Date.
As of Today shows your absence balance with any projected absence you have submitted.
There are two options when viewing your absence balance:
As of Today shows your absence balance with any projected absence you have submitted.
Last Calculation Date is what is actually in your accrual balance from the last pay period that has been processed (based off the last paycheck you have recieved).
The first calculation of the pay period generally takes place on the Tuesday following the end of the period with the final calculation typically on the Monday before payday Friday.
Your balance will go up and down as these calculations are made and/or corrections and new information are processed.
The defined Plan Term for absence balance coincides with the calendar year and runs January 1 through December 31. (This is different from Boise State’s fiscal year, which runs July 1 to June 30.)
Select the hyperlinked balance type (eg Sick Leave) to view more details about a specific plan balance.
The Plan Balance for the selected Absence type will display.
Information on the Plan Balance page includes:
The Summary section displaying the total balance for each category.
Carryover: The number of hours that were carried over from the previous year into the current Plan Term on January 1.
Periodic Accrual: The number of hours the employee has accrued for the selected absence type since January 1.
Absence: The number of hours within the selected absence type that the employee has taken off since January 1.
The Details section showing the individual dates of periodic absence accrual and completed leave.
The Year-End Details section showing the balance as of the end of the previous Plan Term (ending December 31) and the balance carried over to the new Plan Term (starting January 1).
Select the calendar icon in the date field at the top of the paget to change the date for viewing the absence balance details for the selected absence type.
For example, if you wish to see what the projected balance will be after a requested absence in the future, select a date after that absence.
Different assignments may have varying accrual rates and amounts. If you have multiple assignments, you will see the Business Title field below the Type field. The value will default to All. Click the drop-down arrow to select the applicable assignment you are viewing leave balances for.

To withdraw an absence for an employee, follow the instructions to edit, view or withdraw an absence for another employee.
