Delegate Expense Report Submissions
Important Notes:
Follow the instructions in this job aid to delegate expense report creation and submission to another employee. Delegates are authorized to submit expense reimbursement requests on your behalf.
Delegating expense report submission to another employee does not absolve you from your responsibility to read and accept Boise State's travel and expense policies.
Do not delegate your approval authority to someone who is already part of your department’s approval workflow because this will cause an error during approval routing.
Delegation rules are added or removed on an individual basis. Approval delegation rules can be enabled or disabled by the existing designated approver(s).
The Office of Continuous Improvement (OCI) and Human Resources cannot add, edit, or remove approval delegations.
If you have delegates in your list that need to be removed, please email P2P_Reimbursements@boisestate.edu for assistance.
Step 1: Log in to Bronco Hub and Access Expenses
Begin by signing in to Bronco Hub.
Select Me from the top navigation section of Bronco Hub.
Select Expenses.
Step 2: Access Manage Delegates and Enter Employee Details
1. Select the Tasks icon and select Manage Delegates.
Within the Delegates and Permissions screen, type the LastName, FirstName (with a space between last and first name) of the person you are adding as a delegate in the *Person field.
Searching by the employee’s email or user name will not yield any results.
Select the appropriate name and select Save and Close in the upper right corner. Select Save if you need to add additional delegates.
Delegate rows must include an employee name. If there is a blank delegate row, the following error message will display “Attribute DelegatePersonId in DelegationEO is required”.
If you get this error message, delete the blank row by selecting the X and attempt to save again.
What’s next:
The individual(s) listed will have the ability to enter Expense Reports on your behalf.
The individual(s) listed may need to clear their cache using these instructions, then close and reopen their browser before your name shows up on their list in Bronco Hub.
Removing Delegates:
To remove Delegates, access the Delegates and Permission section of the Expenses module as outlined above.
Select the row that includes the name of the Delegate.
Select the X icon above the list of delegate names.
Select Save.
