View Leave Accrual Balances & Existing Absences for Another Employee
Important Note:
Supervisors and Time & Labor Coordinators can view an employee’s leave balance and any absences submitted in Bronco Hub.
Benefit eligible employees accrue leave as outlined in the sick and annual leave accrual chart.
Vacation and Sick time accrual amounts will fluctuate during payroll processing.
View Leave Accrual Balances for Another Employee
Step 1: Log in to Bronco Hub and Select Absence Balance (Team)
Begin by signing in to Bronco Hub.
Access My Team from the top navigation section of Bronco Hub.
Select Show More at the bottom left corner of the page, and then select Absence Balance from the Absence section.
Step 2: Locate and Select the Employee
A list of employees will appear. The filter autofills a list of direct reports.
Filter employees by selecting the filter options beneath the Search bar:
Reports: This field autofills to Direct Reports. Select the x for options to filter by All Reports, or Others and Delegated.
Assignment Status
Manager Type
Show primary assignment only
Worker Type
Filters: Select this to see a pop-up sidebar with all the previously mentioned filters.
Select the employee name.
Step 3: View Leave Balance
Accrued Absence Balances will display.
The Absence Balance Plan Term begins January 1 and runs through December 31 of each year.
If you receive an error message instead of the Accrued Absence Balances page, please progress to View Absence Balance Via an Alternative Method (below).

Benefit-eligible employees enjoy a combination of sick leave, annual leave, and paid holidays throughout the year. For more information about annual leave for different employee classifications and their accrual rate, please refer to the HR Sick and Annual Leave Accrual website.
To view more details about a specific plan balance, select the hyperlinked balance type (eg Sick Leave).
The Plan Balance for the selected Absence type will display.
Information on the Plan Balance page includes:
The Summary section displaying the total balance for each category.
Carryover: The number of hours that were carried over from the previous year into the current Plan Term on January 1.
Periodic Accrual: The number of hours the employee has accrued for the selected absence type since January 1.
Absence: The number of hours within the selected absence type that the employee has taken off since January 1.
The Details section will display the individual dates of periodic absence accrual and completed leave.
Select the calendar icon in the date field at the top of the paget to change the date for viewing the absence balance details for the selected absence type.
For example, if you wish to see what the projected balance will be after a requested absence in the future, select a date after that absence.

View Existing Absences for Another Employee
Step 1: Log in to Bronco Hub and Access Existing Absences (Team)
Begin by signing in to Bronco Hub.
Select My Team from the navigation ribbon.
Select Show More and then select Existing Absences from the Absence section.
Step 2: Select the Employee Whose Absence Balance You Wish to View
A list of employees will appear. The filter autofills a list of direct reports.
Filter employees by selecting the filter options beneath the Search bar:
Reports: This field autofills to Direct Reports. Select the x for options to filter by All Reports, or Others and Delegated.
Assignment Status
Manager Type
Show primary assignment only
Worker Type
Filters: Select this to see a pop-up sidebar with all the previously mentioned filters.
Select the employee name.
Step 3: View Existing Absences
View the list of existing absences for the selected employee.
Each row contains the absence type, the date and hours of the absence, and the status of the request.
Select various filters to improve the list of existing absences.
Date: This field at the top of the page autofills to 6 months before today’s date. Select the date to filter by a different start or end date.
Absence Type: Enter an absence type (e.g. Sick) into the Search field.
Status: Select the status filter button and then select the status from the dropdown list.
Status options include:
Awaiting Approval: Submitted and awaiting approval by the manager or delegated approver.
Withdrawn: Withdrawn by the submitter.
Awaiting Withdrawal Approval: If the withdrawn absence was previously approved.
Scheduled: Approved by the manager or delegated approver.
Denied: Rejected by the manager or delegated approver.
Completed: The absence has been taken.
If you want more information about an absence, select the Edit (pencil) icon to the right of the existing absence.
