Employee Action Effective Dates

Important Notes:

  • Changes to active employee records must have an effective date of the beginning of a pay period (Sunday). Visit the payroll calendar for pay period dates.

  • Mid-Pay Period actions negatively impact payroll calculations, time and labor calculations, employee leave accruals, as well as retirement processing and payment.

Submit an HR Support Request for questions or assistance with employee actions.

Data Change: Title Change, End Date Change, Change in Hours

Hire a non concurrent employee on their first day of work

Salary Changes

Rehire a non current employee on their first day of work

Transfers, Promotions, and Reclassifications

Add Assignment

Benefit Eligible to Non Benefit Eligible

Costing Changes (funded by grants / sponsored projects)

Classified Employee to Professional Employee

 

Student Employee to Classified Employee

 

Professional Employee to Classified Employee
