HR Performance Evaluation Campus Report

Important Notes:

  • This report provides business managers and individuals responsible for coordinating annual performance evaluations with an overview of evaluation status and ratings for employees within their designated areas at Boise State University.

  • The report will only generate results for employees in your designated area at the University.

Step 1: Locate and Launch the Report

  1. Access HR Performance Evaluation Campus Report

    1. If you’d like to save the report as one of your favorites, select Favorites, located in the top blue header, then select Add to Favorites.

Access to this report is limited to specific roles managing Human Resource functions in the Colleges and Departments. If you need to request report access, submit a request to evaluations@boisestate.edu.

Step 2: Enter Search Criteria

By default, the report filters for Evaluation Year, Evaluation Type, and Evaluation Status are set to All. To generate historical and current evaluation data for your area, leave the report defaults as is and select Apply.

If needed, update any of the search criteria to narrow down the search results. 

As an example, you can update the People Group field to Professional Reg and Professional Irreg to generate results for professional staff only or you can select an Evaluation Year (e.g. 2025) to narrow the search to one review period.

Step 3: Review Report Output and Export Results

  1. The report output will automatically download as an Excel sheet once it’s done running.

  2. Open the Excel sheet to view the output.

The following information is generated in the report:

  • Employee Number: Employee ID

  • Employee Name

  • Job Start Date: Start date of the first position held at Boise State

  • PCN: Employee’s Position Control Number at the time of the evaluation

  • Current PCN: Employee’s current Position Control Number

  • College or Organization

  • Department Name

  • Primary Assignment: Primary assignment number of the employee. It’s only applicable if the employee has multiple assignments.  

  • Department ID: 5 digit HR department number tied to the employee’s assignment at the time of the evaluation

  • Primary Assignment Name: Employee’s primary assignment name at the time of the evaluation

  • People Group: Identifies if the individual is Faculty, Professional, Classified, Student, or Temporary and if they are paid from irregular or regular funds.

  • Evaluation Year

  • Evaluation Template Name: Indicates what template is tied to the evaluation (Professional Staff Performance Evaluation, Employee Self Evaluation, etc)

  • Evaluation Date

  • Review From

  • Review To

  • Next Review Date

  • Evaluation Status: Indicates whether the evaluation is In progress, Completed, etc.

  • Manager Task: Displays the status of the manager evaluation task. There are 4 tasks a manager has during the evaluation process

    • Manager Evaluation of Employee (including Development and Performance Objectives for Next Review Period: This task will show as Complete when a manager submits an evaluation.

    • Manager Shares Evaluation and Meets with Employee: This task will show as Complete when a manager shares an evaluation.

    • Manager Completion of Evaluation: This task will show as complete when a manager completes the final submission of the evaluation, after the employee acknowledgement.

    • Manager Views Evaluation: This task will show when an employee has completed and submitted their self-evaluation. 

  • Employee Task: This field displays the status of the employee evaluation task. There are 2 tasks an employee has during the evaluation process:

    • Employee Acknowledgement of Evaluation Meeting: This task will show after a supervisor meets with the employee to discuss the evaluation and selects Share and Release. This is when the employee is able to acknowledge the evaluation meeting. 

    • Employee Feedback of Evaluation (Optional): This task will show after the employee has acknowledged the meeting. The employee can then add optional comments and submit their evaluation to route it back to their manager. 

  • Task Due Date: The task due date is the evaluation deadline

  • Task Status

  • Task Completion Date

  • Calculated Rating: This is the rating calculated by Bronco Hub based on each competency rating entered by the manager.

  • Manager Entered Rating: The final evaluation rating entered by the manager (required).

  • Acknowledgement Date: Displays the date the employee acknowledged their evaluation.

  • Manager Person Number: Manager Employee ID

  • Manager Name

  • Manager Email

  • Job Code

  • Job Code Description

  • FLSA Code

  • Benefit Eligible Status: Indicates whether the employee assignment is Benefits Eligible

  • Probation Type: This is only applicable to classified employees.

  • Probation End Date: This is only applicable to classified employees.

  • Completion of Probation: This is only applicable to classified employees.

  • Termination Date

  • Enterprise Hire Date: This is the date the employee was first hired at the university.
