Release and Submit Annual Evaluations for Your Direct Reports
Important Notes:
This job aid provides supervisors of professional and classified employees instructions to release and submit previously created and shared annual evaluations.
Evaluations should only be released after you meet with the employee to discuss their evaluation and align on performance and development objectives for the upcoming year.
Annual Evaluation Process Flow:
Supervisor completes annual evaluation for their employee(s)
Supervisor shares and retains evaluation
Employee is able to view the content of their annual evaluation
Supervisor and employee meet to discuss annual evaluation and align on performance and development goals for the upcoming year
Supervisor shares and releases evaluation (YOU ARE HERE ⭐)
Employee selects Acknowledge
Employee adds final comments and selects Submit
Supervisor selects Submit

Step 1: Log in to Bronco Hub and Team Performance Documents
Begin by signing in to Bronco Hub from http://my.boisestate.edu
Select My Team from the top navigation
Select the Performance icon
Step 2: Locate the Evaluation(s)
By default, the Evaluate Performance page will be filtered to show In Progress evaluations that require action from you.
If needed, select filter criteria to update the view based on Document Status to “Completed” or “Canceled”. For additional information on filters and search options, visit the View the Status of Employee Evaluations job aid.
Open the evaluation by selecting the hyperlinked evaluation name for the employee you want to release and submit the evaluation for - “2025 Annual (Professional or Classified) Staff Performance Evaluation”.
Step 3: Share and Release Evaluation(s)
Select Share and Release in the upper right corner to release the evaluation to the employee so that they can enter additional comments and acknowledge and submit the annual evaluation.
Share and Retain: Sharing and retaining will allow the employee to view the evaluation content(ratings, comments, etc) but they will not be able to make edits. The supervisor will retain control over the content of the evaluation.
Share and Release: Sharing and releasing will allow the employee to view and enter additional comments in the evaluation. It allows the employee to actively participate in the next step of the evaluation process. Supervisors cannot make edits to the evaluation after sharing and releasing. If you need to make edits after releasing the evaluation, you must email evaluations@boisestate.edu for assistance.
You can share and release one or multiple evaluations at once by selecting the checkbox located to the left of the evaluations, selecting Actions > Share and Release.
After selecting Share and Release you will be routed to the Evaluate Performance page where you can search and locate evaluations.
You will not receive a confirmation message that the evaluation has been released to your direct report.
In order to confirm the evaluation was released, locate the evaluation and confirm that the current task is “Employee Acknowledgement of Evaluation Meeting”
Step 4: Employee Actions (step listed for visibility, no supervisor action needed)
The employee will receive a system generated email letting them know they must access and acknowledge the evaluation.
The employee must then take two steps using the Acknowledge and Submit Your Annual Evaluation job aid:
Access the evaluation and select Acknowledge
Access the evaluation again, add optional final feedback, and select Submit
If you have an employee that refuses to acknowledge the evaluation meeting, please reach out to Employee Relations at employeerelations@boisestate.edu.
Step 5: Final Submission (supervisor action needed)
After employee acknowledgement and submission, supervisors must access the evaluation for final submission.
Select Submit located in the upper right corner of the employee evaluation in order to route the evaluation back to Employee Relations for processing.
Don’t add feedback in the comments box. Comments should only be added for specific administrative purposes.

The evaluation will be routed to Employee Relations for processing.
