Employee Work Location Changes

Important Notes:

  • Use this job aid to update employee location and mail stop in Bronco Hub. Once submitted, the Boise State Employee Directory should be updated within 3 business days.

  • The Work Location updates will not update an employees' work phone number. If the employee’s work phone number needs updated, submit the Boise State Change Request Form.

  • OIT’s Mail Services page contains links to locate mail stop codes by department or number.

To change an employee’s work location you must either be their manager OR you must have the appropriate security access to complete manager self service actions for the HR department ID of the employee(s) you’re attempting to update.

Step 1: Log in to Bronco Hub and Locate the Employee

  1. Begin by signing in to Bronco Hub.

  2. Locate the employee.

In Bronco Hub, employees can be located one of two ways:

  1. In Bronco Hub, employees can be located one of two ways:

    1. Employee is your direct report: select My Team from the top navigation section of Bronco Hub and then select Team Activity Center.

      1. Direct reports will populate. Select the three dots (…) to the right of the employee name, select View More and select Change Location from the drop-down list. To find an action from the list, use the search bar to search for actions by name.

  2. Employee is not your direct report: select My Organization from the top navigation section of Bronco Hub and then select Show More located at the bottom of the left hand Quick Actions list. Select Change Location located in the Employment section (if needed, use CTRL+F to search for the option). After selecting Change Location, use the search bar to search for the employee. Search by Employee name (last name first), Employee Email or Employee ID. Select the appropriate employee name from the drop-down.

Step 2: Enter When and Why Details

In the When and Why section, enter the following information:

  1. When does the location change start? Enter the change effective date

  2. What’s the best way to change the location? Select Location Change

  3. Why are you changing the location? Select Location Change

  4. Select Continue.

Step 3: Enter and Submit Location Details

  1. Remove the pre-populated location field description in the Location field and enter the employee’s new 4-digit mail stop in the Location field. Select the corresponding location description from the dropdown.

If your location does not populate in the Location field, please submit an OCI Service Request ticket to request for a new location to be created.

  1. Select Submit.

The Location field in Bronco Hub is the same as the Mail Stop field in the Boise State Searchable Directory. Once the Location change is submitted in Bronco Hub, the Boise State Searchable Directory should be updated within 3 business days.

Once the Location change is submitted in Bronco Hub, the Boise State Searchable Directory should be updated within 3 business days.
