Important Notes:

  • Submit a work location to update the employee location in the Boise State Searchable Directory.

  • The Work Location updates will not update an employees' work phone number. If the employee’s work phone number needs updated, submit the Boise State Change Request Form.

  • To change an employee’s work location you must either be their manager OR you must have the appropriate security access to complete manager self service actions for the HR department ID of the employee(s) you’re attempting to update. To request access to change employee locations, your supervisor must submit an OCI Service Request ticket.

  • Only enter data in the Location field when submitting a work location change. Information entered in any other location field will not be integrated into the Boise State Searchable Directory. More details are outlined in step 3 below.

Step 1: Log in to Bronco Hub and Locate the Employee

  1. Begin by signing in to Bronco Hub.

  2. Locate the employee.

Panel

In Bronco Hub, employees can be located one of two ways:

  1. Employee is your direct report: select My Team from the top navigation section of Bronco Hub and then select My Team.Direct reports will populate. Select Actions to the right of the employee name and select Change Location from the drop-down list.

  2. Employee is not your direct report: select My Organization from the top navigation section of Bronco Hub and then select Show More located at the bottom of the left hand Quick Actions list. Select Change Location located in the Employment section (if needed, use CTRL+F to search for the option). After selecting Change Location, use the search bar to search for the employee. Search by Employee name (last name first), Employee Email or Employee ID. Select the appropriate employee name from the drop-down.

Step 2: Enter When and Why Details

In the When and Why section, enter the following information:

  1. When does the location change start? Enter the change effective date

  2. What’s the best way to change the location? SelectLocation Change

  3. Why are you changing the location? SelectLocation Change

  4. Select Continue.

Step 3: Enter Location Details

Enter new location details:

  1. Location: Enter the employee’s new department 4-digit mail stop and select the department from the drop-down list. This field will populate with the applicable location name. Refer to the Mail Stop Codes By Number resource to confirm mail stop accuracy.

Note

Only update the Location field of the Location section. Leave all other fields blank, including mail stop. When the location information is transferred to the Boise State Employee Directory, a system process runs to assign a mail stop based on the location selected in Bronco Hub. If a mail stop is entered in Bronco Hub, that information is not transferred to the employee directory and the two systems may display different mail stop information.

  1. Select Submit.

What’s next:

Once submitted, this change will auto-approve. The Location change will be reflected in the Boise State Searchable Directory within 24 hours.

Tip

Even though you do not enter anything in the “mail stop” field of Bronco Hub, the correct mail stop will be assigned to the employee’s directory listing once the location is transferred to the Boise State Searchable Directory.
